Old family photos are priceless! Only the last few generations have had the privilege of taking a look back through time to see exactly how things were “back in the day.” And so it can be heart breaking when these pictures are damaged due to age, fire or flood. Luckily we live in the digital age, where you have your old, damaged photos restored and saved digitally for the generations to come.
Here I fixed the scratches and damaged spots, and made the color slightly more natural.
This photo was in a frame when the glass got broken. That’s when it became noticeable that the picture was stuck to the glass! I was able to scan the picture still stuck to the glass and repair the broken glass areas.
This old baby photo had cracked and been damaged from age.
My client gave me her grandmother’s class picture from the 1930’s that had been ripped down the middle in 2 places and had many cracks. I’ve zoomed in on the areas where I reconstructed the faces that had been torn.
This old portrait had pretty severe cracks in it. Repairing faces while maintaining a natural look can be challenging, but so rewarding to see the outcome!
