There are many reasons you may want to have someone removed from a photo. Maybe they are in the background and are distracting from the subject. Maybe you never had a picture of just two particular people together. Maybe its a group photo of your office staff and a few people have moved on to other jobs now. Sometimes, you just don’t like someone! Whatever the reason, eliminating someone from a photo can be a simple task, or more difficult, depending on the background elements. You may also wish to add someone to a picture, which I will cover in a later post.
In this first picture, I removed the distracting objects and additional family members from the background to keep the focus on the little girl.
Here, a daughter wanted a picture of just her and her dad when she was little. I removed the extra people from the picture, moved the little girl in front of her dad, and filled in the background. This was a heavy manipulation.
In this picture, I removed the officiant to change the focus to the bride and groom. This was a heavy manipulation as well, and required the use of another photo to get the appropriate background.
